It's time to do an update on my nails! On my nails I'm wearing the beautiful You Only Live Twice from the OPI Skyfall collection. For this post I want to do some small reviews on some of the products I've been using the past 4 weeks.
CND Cuticle Eraser
This product saved my cuticles. They used to be very dry and not very pretty, but after using this product every other day, my cuticles look very neat. It removes the dead skin around my cuticles, and it's very moisturizing too. Here is a photo of my "old" cuticles, before I got this product and used any kind of moisturizer.
I use the Dr Bronner's soap for pretty much everything. I use it in the shower as a face and body wash, I wash my makeup brushes with it (works so much better than normal shampoo), and I clean my nails with it and the nail brush. This soap needs to get dilluted (I use 1 part soap to 3-4 parts water), otherwise it will feel kind of drying. Once it's dilluted, it doesn't try out my skin, and it does the job for me. The nail brush feels a little scratchy, but it cleans my nails well and the actual nail brush dries quickly after I've used it.
Nail Tek Foundation II
I like this as a base coat. It dries matte and makes my nail polish last longer than usual. Also it covers most of the uneven parts of my nails (peeling and such). However, I don't feel like it makes my nails any stronger.
Nail Tek Intensive Therapy
This was supposed to rescue my nails from peeling. It stopped the peeling, but whenever I tried any other topcoats, the peeling came back. I don't like it as a topcoat since it takes forever to dry, but it's very glossy and pretty looking. I just wish I didn't have to wait an hour to do anything after doing my manicure. I will be looking for an alternative that stops my peeling permanently.
